Autumn term By the autumn term, Year 4 children are usually working on numbers up to 10,000, rounding, Roman numerals and negative numbers, and adding and subtracting four-digit numbers. Spring term By the spring term, Year 4 children are usually recalling all times tables to 12 x 12, multiplying and dividing larger numbers, and beginning to work with fractions. Summer term now By the summer term, Year 4 children are usually working on decimals, area and perimeter, 24-hour time, symmetry and coordinates, and reading line graphs.
