Autumn term By the autumn term, Year 6 children are usually working on numbers to ten million, the four operations including long division and order of operations, and all of fractions. Spring term By the spring term, Year 6 children are usually working on decimals and percentages, the brand-new topic of ratio and proportion, and measurement including the area of triangles and the volume of cuboids. Summer term now By the summer term, Year 6 children are usually working on the brand-new topic of algebra, geometry including circles and four-quadrant coordinates, and statistics including pie charts and the mean.
