Summer term
By the summer term, Year 6 children are usually working on the brand-new topic of algebra, geometry including circles and four-quadrant coordinates, and statistics including pie charts and the mean.
Practise the Summer term
Have a guess, even if you're not sure. Get one wrong and we'll show you why, so every miss is a chance to learn.
Timed practice
The same practice, just with a gentle clock. Pick a length and see how many you can answer.
What is new this summer term
- Algebra: formulae, sequences and missing numbers
- Finding pairs of values, and enumerating possibilities
- Parts of a circle, nets, and unknown angles
- Drawing and classifying shapes by their properties
- Coordinates in all four quadrants: reflect and translate
- Pie charts, line graphs and the mean
